Hello,

my name is Katsue Kusumi. Ever since I was a child, I have enjoyed touching different materials and I started ceramics only to make my own tableware. Later on, my passion evolved into my profession and now I devote my time in creating ceramic ware for the innovative and imaginative chefs of haute cuisine restaurants or for individuals who want special pieces. My ceramic pieces are in clay or porcelain and are functional items, while at the same time remaining part of my path towards a happy and simple life. My dream is to get closer to a self-sufficient and sustainable life and to live surrounded by many pretty things of my own making. Having lived in busy Tokyo, I am now enjoying life in my house workshop with sea view, tucked away in the Garraf massif (Barcelona) and surrounded by my other passion; plants, trees and flower.

Me llamo Katsue Kusumi. Desde pequeña me encantaba tocar diferentes materiales y empecé cerámica para hacer un juego de vajilla solo para mí. Después mi pasión se convirtió en mi profesión y ahora me dedico a crear piezas de cerámica para restaurantes de alta cocina de los mejores chefs creativos o personas particulares que quieren piezas diferentes. Mis piezas en gres y porcelana son funcionales y a la vez forman parte de mi camino hacia la sobriedad feliz. Mi sueño es acercarme a una vida autosuficiente y sostenible y vivir rodeada de todas cosas bonitas hechas por mí. Después de vivir en Tokio ahora disfruto la vida en una casa taller con vista a la mar inmersa en el macizo del Garraf (Barcelona) y en lo que es mi otra pasión: plantas, árboles y flores.

楠美克枝と申します。東京で生まれてバルセロナの美大を卒業しました。幼い時から物を作るのが好きで、陶芸も自分の食器を作るために始めました。その後有名なシェフ達の為に食器を作るのが仕事になりました。

自給自足とサステイナブルな生活に少しづつ近づくのを夢見て今はバルセロナ県の郊外、海の見える山の中で大好きな草花に囲まれて暮らしています。やりたい事がいっぱい作りたい物も沢山、土を耕し植物を愛で鶏や周りの生き物達に振り回される毎日です。
